baby shower

Well nothing really new has happened this past couple weeks. Maria's baby shower was on Sunday and since nobody has really blogged about it I guess I will take the oppurtonity (sp?) to say that it was wonderful. There was tons of food and tons of people...and tons of gifts. We played games such as...unscramble the words...find the picture (it was a bunch of pictures of marisa and josh as kids and kathy had certain things written on the back such as find the bow tie and you would have to locate which section the bow tie was in)....then there was the "how big is risa's belly" people had to take a piece of yarn and cut long enough that they thought was how big marisa was around...I guess someone had gotten it right on! Then there was a game where there was 5 or so different baby products such as binkies, bottles, things like that and you had to put down the price that you thought Marisa thought it was! Gosh there was another one...I can't think of what it is though. OH wait it was Name Bingo...you had to fill up a bingo card with a name of someone in the room (made everyone get up and meet new people) and then we took down the name of everyone there and drew names. That was kinda cool!

There was a TON of food. Everything from ham, turkey, beans, veggies, cake, crackers, cheese. There was everything! And it was all amazing. Adrienne did a very very good job at doing a lot of it!

She got a ton of presents. Everything from lotions for the baby to baths, to toys and what not. I guess I don't know much now do I lol!

Well just thought I would do what I could since nobody else has! Shame on you!!!!

Ways to Stay Sane!

20 Ways To Maintain A Healthy Level Of Insanity.

1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and pointa hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.

2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.

3. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries with that

4. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "in."

5. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gottenover their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.

6. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for smugglingdiamonds"

7. Finish all your sentences with "in accordance with the prophecy."

8. Don't use any punctuation at all.

9. As often as possible, skip rather than walk.

10. Whenever you go out to eat, order a diet water with a serious face.

11. Specify that your drive-through order is "to go."

12. Sing along at the opera.

13. Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme

14. Put mosquito netting around your work area and play tropical sounds all day.

15. Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend their party becauseyou're not in the mood.

16. Have your co-workers address you by your wrestling name, Rock Bottom.

17. When the money comes out the ATM, scream "I won!, I won!"

18. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot, yelling"run for your lives, they're loose!!"

19. Tell your children over dinner. "Due to the economy, we are going to have to let one of you go."

20. And the final way to keep a healthy level of insanity.......send this to someone to make them smile. Its called therapy.

rocket launch

So last night around 7:30 I was on my way home from a walk with the dog. I was just walking and I look in the sky and I see this red line...and was like wtf and then i see this thing shooting through the sky (stupid me thought it was a star) but yeah it was leaving a white trail behind it. Then it disapeared...and I was again like wtf so I called adam (finally after trying adrienne's cell got a hold of him) and he went outside to see it. By then it had started to go down leaving another white trail behind it (but it was not staying in the sky it was diminishing). Well when I got home Lucia and Mike both said that it was a rocket...but Adrienne got online and saw that it was a solar flare. Well after doing some research and finding stuff out I ran acrossed this site http://www.spaceweather.com/ and found out that it was a rocket. It was so cool to watch. I wish I would have had my camera to take a picture but there is a picture on that site. I am very glad that I got to see this happen. You don't see stuff like this everyday. Well just thought I would let you all know!!!
