New Belly

This is the most recent picture of my growing tummy. I took it earlier today. And with any luck it will be shrinking down any day now lol.
I had a little scare yesterday and had to go to the hospital. About 6 o'clock I started to worry, because I had not felt the baby move at all. So I called the doctor's office, but since it was after hours, the calls go thruogh to the Materity ward at the hospital. They told me to come in since I had tried everything to get her to move. When I got there they hooked up monitors to my stomach to listen to the baby's heartbeat. It also showed when she was moving. It showed that everything was fine and that she was moving around normally, although I was still feeling nothing. After about an hour and a half or so they sent me home, and told me to try eating something and drinking and to lay on my side for an hour and to keep my hands on my belly to try to feel her move. They told me that if I still didn't feel her move after an hour to call back. Well after an hour had past and still I felt nothing, I called and they had me come back in for a sonogram and some more monitering. The sonogram showed that my placenta or whatever it is called was positioned where I probably wouldn't be able to feel the baby kick. They were able to push on my belly and feel her roll around, but I felt nothing. Maybe because I was not sure what I was feeling for, since usually she is always kicking and I don't have to feel for her. After the sonogram I was able to feel her kick. I guess they must of pushed everything around, because she kept me up all night playing inside my tummy. Jon asked if they could tell for sure that the baby was a girl and the lady checked but said that since I am so far along that she couldn't really see anything.
I go to the actual doctor tomorrow for a check up, and for her to check and see if I am dilated anymore. Not really looking forward to that since it's painful for me.
In other news Jon is doing good. He has been working 4 nights a week at the casino, working the midnight shift. But as of next week he will be only working 2 nights. He will start his Chemistry class this coming Monday. He will be going Mon, Tues, and Thurs from 5:30-9:30 till mid June. And hopefully he will be starting the nursing college this fall. He has to take an entrance exam on May 23rd (same day as I am due). We were going to have him see if he could take it another day, but when I was talking to my mom about it, she said not to since whatever day he changed it to would be the day I go into labor, which would probably happen.
Besides that there is really no more news to post about. Love you all and I will post again soon!!

  • Just one more week and that belly will start to cry and really keep you awake all night. As Erika's friend Johnathan said, you will begin to understand why some people throw babies out of windows.

  • I suppose it would be a lot to ask to get a running commentary on your blog while you're in labor. We have been spoiled, you know.
